Christian Fletcher serves as CEO of LifeBrite Laboratories in Atlanta. He has led the award-winning company since 2014. In this role at LifeBrite Laboratories, Christian Fletcher provides clients with a range of testing services. This includes the respiratory pathogen profile (RPP) test.
LifeBrite's RPP test utilizes FilmArray panels from Biofire to test for more than 20 pathogens that cause various respiratory infections. The testing service can detect human rhinoviruses, adenoviruses, respiratory syncytial virus, and several strains of coronavirus and influenza. The RPP test can also identify several bacterial strains, including Bordetella pertussis and mycoplasma pneumoniae.
In addition to identifying a variety of pathogens, the test offers improved accuracy and quicker runtimes over other testing methods. It also offers advantages related to specimen requirements. The RPP panel uses nasopharyngeal swabs, which are simple to use and relatively noninvasive. With a single specimen, LifeBrite can test for multiple infectious agents simultaneously, thus reducing testing costs and time requirements.
